A little about the lives of the Entertainment Guide team members...

Erik Portillo

Erik Portillo is an Analytical Chemist and future Web Developer.
Erik has practical experience working in a production laboratory performing extractions and analysis using new and old technology and software.
Coding will help uncover new pathways and workflows to enhance the laboratory experience.

Jiaqian "JZ" Zhao

2020 has been a difficult year for most of us, but all the uncertainty motivated JZ to make some changes about herself. She decided to learn some new skills such as coding, speaking Japanese, and how to keep house plants alive. Even though keeping house plants alive is not as challenging as having a baby but find something that keeps herself at home is her biggest contribution to her community this year.

Ky Taylor

Ky Taylor has had an interest in technology his whole life.
After much consideration, Ky found a passion in web development, and hopes to find a fulfilling career in that field.
When he is not coding, Ky enjoys drawing, playing Dungeons & Dragons and baking delicious treats.

Aimee Mattson

For over the last decade, Aimee has been working in the corporate world, mastering the art of sales and marketing. When the 2020 pandemic hit, she decided to make a career change and redirect her path towards technology by enrolling in the University of Oregon coding program. When not feverishly typing or clicking away on code, you can find her in the great outdoors engaging in one of her many hobbies.

Our team is made up of four developers who reside in the Portland, Oregon area.
Each member is a student at the University of Oregon.
This project was was developed during the 2020 pandemic that all but brought the world to a complete halt.
With millions of people stuck at home and nothing to do, the team members enthusiastically took on the challenge to come up with an idea that would not only help people get through the pandemic but would also bring some entertainment back into people's daily lives.

And so the ENTERTAINMENT GUIDE was born.

A message from our developers:"We hope you like this website. Let's all stay in and enjoy some quality TV!"
